betti drawing
Draw a model as an engineering drawing (PDF, DXF).
Usage
betti drawing [flags] model outDraws a model as an engineering drawing on a sheet: the front view, the view from above and a view from the side, each with its visible lines thick and its hidden lines thin and dashed; the overall width, height and depth dimensioned; a shaded view from the front, right and above in the corner the views leave free; a frame, and a title block with the title, drawing number, creator, date, scale, units and the projection symbol.
The views are placed in first angle projection, as ISO prefers (-projection third for third angle). The front looks along +y with z up. The scale is the largest standard one at which the views fit the paper (-scale sets it). Lengths are taken as millimetres.
The model is any surface mesh, a volume mesh (its outside), or, with the cad module, a CAD model, whose lines are where its faces meet. A mesh's lines are where its faces meet at -feature degrees or more, its open edges, and its outlines as seen.
In a script this is drawing(…), its flags as keywords; for coding agents, the tool drawing.
